Flowx respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains our practices regarding data collection and usage.

Data Collection

Flowx does not collect, store, share or sell any personal data from app users.

Flowx does collect crash and debug reports from the app which includes anonymous identifiers. These reports are collected via the third-party service provider Sentry (see below) when a crash occurs, or if the user sends an email to the developer via the feedback menu. If the user emails a debug log via the feedback menu, the report is collected directly by Flowx.

How We Provide Weather Information

Our app displays weather information by:

• Using only the location permissions you explicitly grant when you want to see local weather.
• Processing all location requests locally on your device.
• Not storing or transmitting your location data to our servers or any third parties.

Permissions

We only ask for location permissions when you turn on Travel Mode so your location can be updated as you move around.

To find your initial location, we use the IP address to guess the location of your internet service provider (ISP), so we don't have to ask for location permissions. This third-party service is provided by MaxMind (see below).

Screen Recording

This is used when you record the a movie of the screen to share. Although, audio permissions may be included Flowx does not record audio at all. This permission is part of the HB Recorder library we use in Flowx to make the recording.

LocationIQ (Unwired Labs)

LocationIQ is used for autocompletion when you search to add a new place.

MaxMind (For estimating your initial place based on the location of your ISP)

MaxMind is used when you open Flowx for the first time. MaxMind will return the location of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) associated with your IP address. Flowx uses this to roughly guess your initial place. Note, if the ISP timezone does not match the timezone of your phone (maybe because you are using a VPN), then we will guess your location from your timezone.
